The food authority of Burgenland has initiated a campaign for the protection of local producers, regional labels and consumers’ trust, which focuses on street stands for fresh and local produce. It is feared that due to cold weathers lately causing shortfalls on locally grown produce non-regional fruits and vegetables are labelled and sold as such. Therefore, 90-95% of all fruit stands are intended to be controlled and Imprint Analytics will support the government with their expertise in authenticity testing for proofing the regional origin of the sample.
